so i found the "My So-Called Life" series at movie stop yesterday for $50 and watched the first 3 episodes. i think every girl in the nineties at least said that they identified with Angela but for some reason im grasping the whole outgrowing your friends and waiting for your life to start thing now.
on saturday i spent the day with karen franklin. while we were eating lunch i told her that i felt like even though everyone says that "time flies" i feel like my life is going in slow-mo. she chalked it up to me not doing enough with my time and that if i stayed busy i would wonder where it all went.

i dont really believe that. in fact i look back and think that ive had an incredible amount of moments and events cramming up my past.

i just cant believe that im only 22 and im still waiting for something or someone...
and waiting for it bores the bajeezus outta me.

This life has been a test. If this had been an actual life, you would have received instructions on where to go and what to do.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC PHOTO DUMP

i forgot to mention that ive been in the republica dominicana since last saturday. we stayed at a resort somewhere in between cabarete and puerto plata and then spent a lot of time in santiago and sosua.

the taxi was ridiculously overpriced because they cheat tourists at every turn. but since there are basically no traffic laws the ride was fun.

lobby

it was a 10 minute walk to the beach everyday with horses and cattle either following us or staring us down.

i liked the orange moss on the trees

the waves were choice. the waves were righteous. dude.

that "sank" used to be "skank" to go with the "whores"...we should have had a theme going.

this kid named franco walked up while we were playing with a machete in his hand...seriously. but he ended up just watching and asking how to pronounce the words. he traded his yellow gameboy for my ipod for the rest of the time. good trade.

we spent tuesday out in service which was great because it let us see how the people really live outside of the tourism.

of course with all the pot holes a flat tire was inevitably

we had the meeting here

beng an undeveloped country the people dont really have anything materially. depending on where they live every once in a while theyll get some running water. but despite all that they seem to be generally happy. actually i think sometimes we forget the terrible effects that money and living up to a certain standard can have. in that sense we have it just as bad if not worse in the states. blech. anyways...

the golf courses were amazing but very expensive. 3800 RD ($100) for 9 holes.
